Terms of service

Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms are between you and Sheba Media LLC (“we”, “us”), and they cover your use of StatementSnap at statementsnap.net. Using the service means you accept them. If you are using it for a company, you confirm you may accept them on that company’s behalf.

What the service does

You upload a PDF bank statement. We extract the transactions and give you back an editable table and a downloadable Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo) or OFX file.

Extraction uses an automated system, including a large language model. We check the result arithmetically — the beginning balance plus every transaction must equal the ending balance — and show you whether that check passed. That check proves the rows we produced are internally consistent. It does not prove they match your statement. A row we misread and a row we missed can still add up.

You have to check the output

StatementSnap is a conversion tool, not an accountant, bookkeeper or tax adviser, and nothing it produces is financial or tax advice. Any spend categories it suggests are a starting point for a human to correct, not a filing position.

Before you rely on an export — for a tax return, a loan application, a client’s books, or anything else that matters — compare it against the original statement. You are responsible for what you file.

Your account and your files

  • You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account details. Keep your login credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You may only upload statements you own or are authorised to process. If you are a bookkeeper handling a client’s statements, that authorisation is yours to obtain, not ours.
  • You keep every right in the documents you upload. We claim no ownership of them and do not use them to train models.
  • What we store and for how long is set out in our privacy policy. In short: uploaded files are deleted an hour after parsing, and parsed data within 24 hours.

Page credits and billing

  • A page is a page of the PDF you upload. A four-page checking statement costs four pages.
  • You are charged when you first export a statement, not when you parse it. Parsing a statement, viewing the table and deciding not to download it costs nothing.
  • Signing up includes 20 pages with full export and no card. Out of credit, you can still parse up to 30 pages a day and view the reconciled table; exporting needs credits.
  • Pack pages never expire. Subscription allowances are per billing period and do not roll over; if you hold both, the subscription allowance is spent first so your pack stays as overflow.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from the billing portal on your account page. Cancelling stops future billing and leaves you on the plan until the period you already paid for ends.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller on your invoice and card statement. It collects and remits any VAT, GST or sales tax due. We never see or store your card number. Refunds are covered by our refund policy, which allows 14 days for unused pages.

What you may not do

  • Upload documents you have no right to process, or anything unlawful.
  • Attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or work around page limits and rate limits.
  • Resell the service as your own. Using it to do bookkeeping work for your clients is fine and expected; reselling access to the tool itself is not.
  • Use it to launder money, commit fraud, or fabricate records.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. If we suspend you without cause, we will refund unused credits.

Availability and changes

We do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features, and we may change these terms — if a change materially affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will refund unused pack pages.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that extraction will be complete or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost data, or penalties arising from a filing you made using an export.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory law of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.
