How to download your Chase statement as a PDF
- Sign in to chase.com in a desktop browser and click the Main Menu icon in the top left of the screen.
- Choose "Statements & documents". This covers every account you hold, so you do not have to open each one separately.
- Click "Statements", then pick the account, then the year.
- Click the statement you want. It opens as a PDF in the browser — save it from there rather than printing to PDF, which flattens the text layer.
- On the Chase Mobile app the path is different: tap the Profile & Settings icon top right, then Settings, then the Account settings dropdown, then Paperless, then See statements.
- Drop the saved PDF onto StatementSnap and export to Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks.
What Chase statements look like
Chase keeps up to 7 years of statements online, depending on the account type — one of the longer windows among the large US banks, and the reason a catch-up bookkeeping job on a Chase account is usually possible without ordering anything. Business accounts list statements newest first with a separate icon to open and to download; on personal accounts clicking the statement opens it and you save from the viewer.

What you get back
An editable table like this, with a badge confirming the balances add up. Fix anything that looks off before you export — the badge updates as you type.

Chase statement questions
- How far back do Chase statements go?
- Up to 7 years, depending on the account type. That is longer than most banks offer and covers essentially any tax year still open, so if you are catching up on bookkeeping you can usually get everything you need without contacting them.
- Can I download several Chase statements at once?
- Not from the personal accounts screen — statements open one at a time and you save each from the PDF viewer. If you have a year to get through, download them all first and then use batch upload on StatementSnap rather than converting them one by one.
- The Chase statement opens in the browser instead of downloading. Is that a problem?
- No. Save it from the browser's PDF viewer using the download icon. What you should avoid is using Print → Save as PDF, which re-renders the page and can strip the text layer the parser reads — that turns a fast, accurate conversion into a slower image-based one.
- I can't find Statements & documents in the Chase app.
- The app puts it somewhere else than the website. Tap the Profile & Settings icon in the top right, then Settings, then open the Account settings dropdown, then Paperless, then See statements. It is easier on the desktop site if you have the choice.
