How to download your Citibank statement as a PDF
- Log in to Citi Online in a desktop browser.
- Click the "Statements (PDF)" link.
- Under "Recent Statements", pick the date from the drop-down, choose the format from the second drop-down, and click "Download".
- The PDF arrives in a pop-up — so pop-ups have to be enabled for citi.com, or nothing appears to happen when you click Download.
- For anything not in that list, use the "Older Statements" section: select the year and month, click "Request", and it appears under "Older Statement Request Status" as "Processing Request".
- Come back after 48 to 72 hours and click "Ready for Download". Requested statements stay available for 7 days only.
- Drop the saved PDF onto StatementSnap and export to Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks.
What Citibank statements look like
Citi is the one where the download silently does nothing if your browser blocks pop-ups — the PDF is delivered in a pop-up window rather than as a direct download, and Citi's own instructions call this out. The other thing to know is the wait: older statements are not stored ready, they are requested, take 48 to 72 hours, and then stay available for just 7 days. There is also a registration cut-off — only statements issued after the account was registered for Citi Online are immediately available, so a long-held account switched to online access recently will show less than you expect.

Citibank statement questions
- Nothing happens when I click Download on Citi. What's wrong?
- Your browser is blocking pop-ups. Citi delivers the statement PDF in a pop-up window rather than as a normal download, so with pop-ups blocked the click appears to do nothing at all. Allow pop-ups for citi.com and try again.
- How long does a Citi older-statement request take?
- 48 to 72 hours. It shows as "Processing Request" under Older Statement Request Status until it is ready, then changes to "Ready for Download". Once ready it stays available for 7 days, so download it promptly.
- Why can't I see older Citi statements at all?
- Only statements issued after your account was registered for Citi Online are immediately available. Anything from before that has to go through the Older Statements request, and very old periods may not be there at all.
- I need a year of Citi statements. What's the best order to do this in?
- Request every month you need in one session — there is a "Make Another Request" link for exactly this — then wait the 48 to 72 hours once rather than twelve times. Download them all inside the 7-day window and convert them together with batch upload.
