How to download your Truist statement as a PDF
- Sign in to Truist online banking in a desktop browser. Statements are free whether you are on paperless or not.
- Open the account and go to its statements area.
- Pick the statement and save the PDF.
- Check the date before you stop — Truist keeps a much shorter history than most banks, so the month you want may already be gone.
- Drop the saved PDF onto StatementSnap and export to Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks.
What Truist statements look like
Truist keeps roughly 18 months of historical online statements available to view, print and save. That is far shorter than the seven years most large US banks offer, and it is the single most important thing to know about converting Truist statements: if you are catching up on bookkeeping for a period more than about a year and a half back, the statements may simply not be online any more. The practical answer is to download on a schedule rather than on demand — a few minutes each quarter saving the PDFs is much cheaper than requesting archived copies later.

Truist statement questions
- How far back do Truist online statements go?
- About 18 months. It is one of the shortest windows among the large US banks — several offer seven years — so it is worth checking what is actually available before you plan a catch-up around it.
- I need Truist statements from two years ago and they are not there.
- That is the 18-month limit rather than a fault. Anything older has to come from Truist directly rather than from online banking, which usually means contacting them and waiting.
- What is the best habit for Truist statements?
- Download them quarterly and keep the PDFs somewhere you control. With an 18-month window you are always one distracted year away from losing access to a period you later need, and the download takes a couple of minutes.
- Do I need paperless statements enabled at Truist?
- Truist charges nothing for either paper or paperless statements, and you can enrol in paperless from online banking. What matters more for converting is that you save the PDFs yourself rather than relying on the archive still holding them.
